Cross-counrty skiing for all. Cross-country skiing classes for young people from 6 to 15 years old. Be inform about our great cross-country ski evening by torchlight. Also at Baie-des-Sables, you may practice: snowboarding, alpine skiing and inner tubing.

The territory of mont Gosford boasts the highest peak in Southern Québec (1193m), Nordic snowshoeing and skiing, mountain bike, a pavilion at the foot of the mountain, 3 sided shelters, prospector tents, an observation tower affording a breathtaking view of the area and much more...

Les Sentiers du Clocher de Piopolis
Come and breath fresh air and be inspire with poems and draws from regional people (on Boucle Poétique and Chemin de la Tour à Feu).

Wooden and marsh areas, trails are located in the bassin du Ruisseau Quirion and cross rich habitats, famous for great flora and fauna. Trails are accessible by snowshoes and cross-country ski.
 
Trail includes:
-  La Boucle Poétique (A) : 850 m.
-  Le Chemin de l'Ancienne École (A) : 100 m.
-  Le Chemin de la Tour à Feu (S-A): 550 m.
-  Le Parcours rustique (S-A):  1100 m.
-  Le Chemin du Petit Marais (A) : 150 m.
 
Legend:
(A) : well maintained paths with gravel and boardwalks, accessible to everyone.
(S-A): mi-well maintained paths.  Intermediate level.  Good shoes and please stay alert.
 
Three access:
-  La Tour à Feu : 483, rue Principale;
-  Parking lot of Petit Marais, Tour à Feu's diagonal side;
-  L'Ancienne École : 403, rue Principale (easy and quick access to the Boucle poétique).
 

Leashed dogs accepted.

Parc national de Frontenac give you access to 29 km of backcountry ski trails. Come and admire the peaceful winter landscapes that nature covers in its immaculate white coat.

The park's cross-country ski trails, which are mechanically groomed,will reveal the surprising landscape under a thick mantle of snow. You are sure to take home lasting memories of your outing! The degreee of difficulty for this 38 km network of trails varies from intermediate to expert. Warm up or spend the night in one of the four huts located along the trail (reservation required). Also, accomodation package available in the region. The spot Restoration " Au Pied du Massif". Do not miss every Saturday of February and March "from the snow to the stars " including: cross-country skiing and/or snowshoeing, observation of the sun decorated with an evening of astronomy. Evenings of astronomy are on reservation only.

Loop #2 (Beginner): 4 km ( 30 min - 1h) Petite-Ourse (Beginner): 3.7 (1-1,5h) Grande-Ourse (Beginner-Intermediate):5.8 km (1 - 1,5h) Pléïades (Intermediate): 8 km (1-2h) Orion North (Intermediate): 11.3 km (1,5 - 3h) Orion South (Intermediate): 11.6 km (1,5-3h) Le grand tour (Intermediate): 18 km ( 2-4h) Orion and Andromède (Intermediate): 26.4 km ( 4-7h).

Expert skiers who want to experience a Québec winter in all its intensity will enjoy the challenge of the ungroomed 9,4 km backcountry trail cutting across the north face of Mont-Mégantic at an average altitude of 900 m. With 10,1 km of groomed trails leading to it, count on 19,5 km of high adventure! The peaceful nights in the huts that line the groomed trails are well deserved!
